This document defines the scope of the Wildlife Management Public Education plan.
COLORADO STATUTES RELATED TO THE FORMATION OF THE COUNCIL
Originally sponsored by G. Dennis and S. Johnson.
Reprints of 2 statute sections that resulted from the approval of House bill 1409 and Senate bill 214, introduced by G. Dennis and S. Johnson. These statutes provides for the vehicle for funding the Council’s education program by creating a “check off” contribution mechanism on CDOW limited license applications.
This document also includes House Bill 05-1266 which provides funding for the wildlife management public education advisory council with a $0.75 license fee surcharge and repeals the voluntary checkoff for donations to the council.
THE GILLETTE REPORT
This random survey study clearly indicated sportsmens’ support for the program and their willingness to pay an annual license surcharge of between $1.00-3.00 that would be dedicated to funding the program.
